Solo Exhibitions

Western Australian wire sculptor and multimedia artist, Tania Spencer, has hosted a number of solo exhibitions since obtaining her Bachelor of Arts at Curtin University in 2006. She has been included in many national group exhibitions, and has exhibited in Sculpture by the Sea numerous times.

Tania Spencer’s art consists of a combination of suspended sculptural installations, 2-D wall works, and objects knitted with large gauge fencing wires.

The themes of Tania’s solo exhibitions reflect the environment that we inhabit, questioning how we exist, and importantly our perception of how we exist, physically and spiritually, in relation to ourselves, each other and how we experience our environment. Societal issues like belief systems, social conditioning, relationships and the human impact on ecological systems become subjects for her work.
