Solo Exhibitions
Western Australian wire sculptor and artist, Tania Spencer, has created a number of solo exhibitions since obtaining her Bachelor of Arts at Curtin University in 2006. She has been included in many national group exhibitions, and has exhibited in Sculpture by the Sea, Sculpture@Bathers and Castaways numerous times.
Tania Spencer’s art consists of a combination of wire sculpture, suspended sculptural installations, wire drawings, and jewellery.
The themes of Tania’s solo exhibitions reflect our existence within the environment that we inhabit, questioning how we exist, physically and spiritually, in relation to ourselves and others. Works can be autobiographical or reflect a wider society. Themes such as belief systems, social conditioning, relationships and human impact on ecological systems have all become subjects in her work.
